Fast-paced manufacturer is seeking an Accountant. As the Accountant, you will report to an Accounting Manager and will be responsible for supporting and assisting the Accounting Manager with site accounting functions. You will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Supporting the Accounting Manager with month-end and year-end reconciliation
- Preparing and running weekly and monthly reports
- Documenting, entering and posting fixed assets and depreciation
- Completing reconciliation for A/R, A/P, P&L and balance sheet
- Preparing and verifying weekly A/P payments
- Assisting with quarterly and yearly audits and year-end inventory
- Reconciling bank accounts and company credit cards
- Filing J-SOX paperwork
- Utilizing 10-key data entry to input information into the organization’s ERP system
- Learning to be a backup team member for A/R and A/P functions
- Completing weekly payroll submissions and GL reporting
- Partnering with the accounting team to finish projects in a timely manner
- Providing daily guidance to the accounting specialists
- Communicating with team members on accounting improvements and projects
- Other tasks as assigned by management
Candidates should enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and communicating with internal and external customers. Individuals should be willing to sit the majority of their day performing regular numerical data entry. Being detail oriented and thorough are key attributes to this position! REQUIREMENTS for the Accountant:
1. An Associate's degree is preferred, but not required
2. One to two years of similar high-volume accounting experience

4. Experience with general ledger and reconciliation
5. Working knowledge of GAAP
6. The ability to perform 10-key data entry
7. Experience working with MS Excel, including spreadsheets and formulas

1. Experience working with ERP systems
2. Manufacturing experience
